Taking the Leap
We have a dream of exploring the world by sailboat and we are working hard to make it a reality. We have some sailing experience from chartering in the BVIs, sailing on Lake Michigan, and day sailing on a smaller local lake. We are eager to learn more and expand our horizons.
The Call of the Unknown
My name is Jason and I have been working in the construction industry for the last decade. My wife Pamela is a wonderful stay-at-home mom who takes care of me and our three young boys. She loves teaching and she is excited to world-school our children on the boat.
Our boys are six, four, and two. They enjoy playing with water and digging in the dirt when the weather is warm. They are always curious and adventurous.
Preparing for the Adventure
We want to reduce our impact on the world and leave it better than we found it. We want to live a simpler life away from the constant barrage of electronic notifications. We want to develop a closer relationship with God, our children, and with nature. We want to eat more local, less processed foods and live a cleaner life.
Our family is committed to living a purposeful life as we sail, embracing simplicity and intentionality. We strive to reduce our impact on the world and leave it better than we found it. By disconnecting from the constant noise of technology, we aim to foster deeper connections—with God, with one another, and with the natural world around us. We seek to nourish our bodies and souls through wholesome, local, and unprocessed foods, embracing a cleaner, more mindful way of living. Along our journey, we are dedicated to building meaningful relationships with other sailing families and the local communities we encounter, sharing stories, learning from diverse cultures, and contributing positively wherever we go. Through every wave and horizon, we journey with gratitude, stewardship, and love, creating lasting memories and a legacy of care for future generations.
Happy Sailing!
Jason, Pamela, and the boys
